Now Hiring - Interior Designer & Sales - Residential Remodeling in Spring, TX

DTH Remodeling - a full service custom home remodeling company providing home improvement services in The Woodlands, TX and surrounding areas is looking for an Interior Designer.

The Interior Designer is responsible for managing the design aspect of residential remodeling projects. This includes acting as the clients’ point of contact for all design-related aspects of the project and partnering with the Construction Manager throughout the construction phase. The Interior Designer may also be responsible for managing outside architects and other design firms assigned to their projects.

Primary Responsibilities:

 Lead design meetings with clients, trade partners, vendors, and production team.
 Communicate promptly and clearly with client about timing and budget.
 Accurately measure existing structures and provide detailed as-built floor plans for design development.
 Develop professional and knowledgeable design concepts for clients to review based upon client interviews, idea books, and latest industry trends.
 Create hand-drawn and CAD drawings as needed for clarification, specification, and detail pertaining to a larger scope of work or design (i.e. cabinet and tile layout details).
 Maintain Design Center.
 Identify all products needed for the construction of the project, including client education, specification sheets, and plan documentation.
 Display appropriate sales skills in client meetings.
 Work with production team to resolve design issues during construction.
 Work in conjunction with the General Manager, Construction Team and Estimator to generate costs for remodeling proposal.
 Any other duties or responsibilities as assigned.

Primary Skills & Knowledge:

 Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture or equivalent industry experience.
 A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential design preferred.
 Hand sketching required.
 Advanced proficiency in AutoCad, Revit, 2020 Design or similar CAD program.
 Proficiency with computers, Microsoft Office Suite, and Adobe software.
 Construction knowledge, management, or field experience desired.
 Experience with client and subcontractor interface in residential construction.
 Demonstrated ability to produce documentation for built projects, organize information, and manage workflow.
 Structural and detail design experience desired.
 Ability to perform zoning and building code research
 Ability to manage multiple projects through all phases of design
 Experience working in a collaborative environment
 Ability to work independently and self-monitor progress in order to meet expectations
 Driven to consistently improve skills and knowledge in the residential design and construction field
 Excellent communication, organizational and computer skills.
 Must have, and maintain a current & valid Texas driver’s license, a clean driving record and current auto insurance.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
